FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Titans Futbol Club Builds a Foundation for Success and looks forward to the NPL Club & Team Based Platforms

Dallas, TX – May 7, 2019  - In another important step forward, and on the heels of hiring new NTX Director of Coaching, Tom Blencoe, Titans F.C. establishes a talented and long list of teams and adds 10 new staff to the existing NTX staff in place at Titans FC and Sting Soccer. With a focused goal to establish a top-quality program in the NTX area, and a commitment to developing players that will be successful at all levels of play – the addition of the new Titans Staff Coaches creates an environment that will breed success. With 34 teams between Academy and Competitive, the focus for Titans FC in NTX will be centered on developing young players to their maximum potential with an eye to mirror the storied history of success of its sister organization, the Sting Soccer Club.

Tom Blencoe shares excitement for the future,

“I have worked closely with many of the new staff for several years and their talent, knowledge, and passion for the game and developing young players is second to none. Each person brings a unique skill-set, perspective, and contribution to what will be a cohesive and collaborative club environment. I’m impressed with the Titans staff already in place and look forward to bringing everyone together to build this program. With the support of a robust administrative staff and partnered efforts with the Sting Organization and the Sting coaching staff in place, the goal is to build the Titans program into national prominence.”

Titans NTX teams and players will have the opportunity to take advantage of several playing opportunities depending on what is right for the player, their families, and their stage of development. Titans F.C. will have one team in each age group U13-U19 competing in the NPL Club-Based Platform for regional league play. Other Titans teams will participate in the NPL Team-Based division, also a regional platform. Many of the teams will have the opportunity to participate in these regionally based leagues while at the same time competing locally in the highly competitive Boy’s Classic League, or other local platforms such as Plano Premier League or Texas Clubs Soccer League. The goal through all league play is to strengthen and support a developmental process that is appropriate for the players and the teams, which in turn will bring success.

The staff of Titans FC in NTX is highly credentialed and experienced.

Nick Soutar will be Titans Academy Director and is originally from England where he started coaching at just 15-years-old. He coached in the youth development of many professional clubs in England. In 2007, he moved to the United States to work with Major League Soccer Camps in California. He has spent the last 10 years at Liverpool FC International Academy-NTX where he coached both boys and girls and held many different leadership positions.

Gavin Mole will join Titans as the NPL Director, and Director of Sports Performance in Nutrition & Hydration. He is originally from England where he worked as an academy coach for Manchester City FC and as a self-employed Personal Trainer and Licensed Nutritionist. He moved to Texas in 2017 to work with LFC International Academy America and after two successful years, including the honor of receiving LFC’s Academy Coach of the year in 2018, he has now taken the opportunity to join Titans FC. He has over 15 years of playing experience and also holds a UEFA B Coaching License.

Rick Hadwick will take on the role of Sports Performance Director of Mental Training and Staff Coach at Titans F.C.. Rick played and coached at Manchester University from 2002-2005, studying Sports Science with a focus in coaching. He has 18 years of coaching experience and has coached at many levels from recreational to college. He has a master’s degree in psychology and will provide sports psychology education and mental skills training to players and coaches within Sting and Titans.

Pammie Sichangwa will take on the role of Little Stingers and Tiny Titans Program Director and be responsible for developing the youngest ages of 3-6-year-old players before they enter the Sting and Titans Academy. Pammie teaches serious soccer skills in a “silly” manor that keeps the kids’ attention and allows them to really have fun while learning. The result is her ability to create a large following of our youngest players who have a love, passion, and skill for the game at a very young age.

Mark Meredith will also take on a leadership role within Titans FC. Mark is originally from England where he attended school to study teaching, coaching and leadership. He is a UEFA qualified coach with over 16 years’ experience in coaching youth, men’s and women’s soccer both at grassroots and professional level within England, Norway and the USA. He holds a UEFA B and has worked with many professional teams including Birmingham City, Leicester City and Derby County.

Tahlon Drake will be involved in many ways at the club as he looks to help all players reach their true potential. Talon is a product of the NTX system having played at most levels before focusing on a career in coaching. He has a USSF B License and has coached for many years, finding success both on the boys’ and girls’ side. He brings experience, energy and passion in developing players with confidence and creativity.

The new staff is rounded out by several ambitious coaches that currently work with Academy age players to establish foundations for future success. Aden Campbell hails from Oxford, England where he played at the county, college and semi-professional before switching his focus to coaching. He came to the United States in 2013 and has coached in 12 different states for both boys and girls from ages 4-18 at all different competitive levels. His desire to stay involved in the game, coupled with a passion for developing young players led him to acquire qualifications from both the English FA, NSCAA and USSF.  David Lotze has coached for over seven years, six with NTX ODP, and holds a USSF “D” license. Ian Goldberg has five years of coaching experience and currently holds a USSF “F” license, USSF 7v7 and 9v9 licenses, USC 7v7 and 9v9 Diploma’s and the Coerver Youth Diploma.  Nick Wilson, born and raised in London, England has a love and appreciation for the game that runs deep, with a goal to instill that same excitement and joy for the game of soccer in the young people he coaches.

Adding to the staff within the Sting Soccer Organization is Sara Bohannon. Sara Bohannon is a former alumnus of Sting Soccer Club who went on to play at the University of Houston. She has over 10 years of coaching experience and is experienced in developing young players into top talent and won Academy Coach of the Year while at Liverpool NTX. She joins the Sting Organization with one of the top 2008 and 2011 girl’s teams in the area.

With a strong foundation for success, a long list of talented teams, an experienced and qualified staff and pathways for players and teams to develop to their maximum potential, the future is bright for NTX Titans FC.
